Melinda, It was perfect. Thank you again for your work on this. I’ll comment in more detail in a subsequent email. Needless to say, the vacation was fantastic but we are nicely tried and need to catch up on life here. I also can tell you any details about the places we stayed so that you can add this to your database of knowledge.
The one thing that stands out is that logistically EVERYTHING went seamlessly. No problems, no hassles, nothing unexpected and that is amazing for a vacation of this complexity and length. And that’s a testament to good and knowledgeable planning from a great travel consultant 🙂 Queensland, Australia also has thier act together as far as tourism is concerned. Very impressive.
We got good airplane seats for all our flights, all the various transports from hotels to the airport went like clockwork, the resorts and hotels were first rate.
The Bora Bora Nui is a fantastic resort and is the envy of Bora Bora. The overwater bungalow 1 – 8 were not available due to current work enhancements (i.e. putting in a hot tub in one of them), but the resort director put us in another upgraded bungalow (free upgrade by the way) which had an unobstructed horizon view which directly faced the sunset (lounging on the back deck, we saw a perfect sunset at the end of every day). I forget the exact bungalow number but I remember it when referencing the resort map (part of the details that I can tell you in a subsequent email). Also, with the 1 – 8 bungalows, the back deck got the morning sun and not the midday/evening sun whereas the one we were assigned got the midday/evening sun and a perfect view of the sunset. Also our bungalow was in the quiet, secluded spot, perfect for honeymooners. The coral under and near our bungalow was better and therefore there were more fish at our bungalow too and the water is shallower and calmer. The resort director considered all this when assigning us this unit. Very considerate, very nice. But now I am getting into details. Needless to say, we felt very taken cared for by the resort personel.
